Before his work with DSM, Brian held the positions of Financial\nManager for Affiliated Computer Services, Vice President of Premium Accounting\nfor Marsh, Inc, Group Leader for Wellmark Blue Cross &amp; Blue Shield and has\nobtained the distinguished rank of Colonial with the U.S. Army Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Mulcahy is an industry professional with over 10 years\nof airport executive leadership experience and has extensive financial and\nadministrative expertise in airport management, team building, strategic\nplanning, and operations. He has a B.A. in Accounting from Iowa State\nUniversity, an M.B.A., and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He is\nalso an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.), an instrument-rated U.S. Army\nAviator and a trained U.S. Department of Defense Six Sigma Black Belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Mulcahy manages a combined operating and capital budget\nof approximately $50 million and is responsible for all financial and\nadministrative functions of the Airport including oversight of human resources.\nHe negotiates and administers airline use agreements, including setting rates\nand charges which have grown from $28 million in 2012 to $96 million currently.\nBrian is responsible for driving key revenue streams for the Authority,\nresulting in income growth of 26% from 2016 to 2019 and a much-improved\npassenger experience. He plays a key role in representing the Authority,\nhelping raise over $28 million of pledges for the new terminal construction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding his new appointment, Mr. Mulcahy stated, &#8220;It\nis a real honor to be selected for this position by the Des Moines Airport\nAuthority Board. The Airport Authority has a strong team of employees working\nhard every day to make Iowa\u2019s Airport a safe and efficient experience for all\ntravelers.
