Chief among these is reducing aviation\u2019s carbon dioxide footprint. To this end, the Lindbergh Foundation is launching an audacious program called the <a href=\"https:\/\/lindberghfoundation.org\/?utm_medium=email&amp;_hsmi=213961664&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-_qAX4tPavoPr9yZr24sjOk21FGhU5GYR5HgdZEiYQ4Q_ddpaCdrctAazdxeIIHdmLBnWCCtubAuXFN-_E7EhWRWTgYxGPNPEHkpUKXu2fJBLNnTQ4&amp;utm_content=213961664&amp;utm_source=hs_email\">Forever Flight Alliance<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As we approach the centennial anniversary of Charles\nLindbergh\u2019s 1927 New York to Paris flight, we have an opportunity that is not\njust a celebration, but a call to action to make aviation permanently\nsustainable. The Forever Flight Alliance builds on the success initiated with\nthe Orteig Prize that incentivized Charles Lindbergh\u2019s historic flight across\nthe Atlantic and the Ansari XPRIZE that launched the commercial spaceflight\nrevolution,\u201d said Erik Lindbergh, chairman of The Lindbergh Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSeeking to win the $25,000 Orteig prize, Charles\nLindbergh\u2019s 1927 flight caused a step-change in aviation. The power of\ncompetition through incentive prizes has been proven throughout history as a\ngreat motivator,\u201d said Gregg Maryniak, co-founder of the XPRIZE Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forever Flight Alliance is focusing on the following key\nobjectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Establish a global brain-trust of innovators,\nsolution-seekers, and thought leaders<\/li><li>Map and accelerate the pathways to achieve\nnet-zero aviation<\/li><li>Create incentive prizes to accelerate\ntransformational breakthroughs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud of the strong partnerships with the XPRIZE\nFoundation, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and NBAA.
