The award was presented by Dr. Hassan\nShahidi, the President and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation\n(flightsafety.org), during the 67th Business Aviation Safety Summit in\nSavannah, Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Air Charter Safety Foundation-administered Aviation\nSafety Action Program has made a huge safety difference in Part 135 and Part 91\noperations, all thanks to the vision and leadership of Bryan Burns and Russ\nLawton,\u201d noted Dr. Shahidi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1975, the Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award\nhas recognized individuals whose work enhances aviation safety. Recipients have\nincluded industry leaders, government officials, members of the news media and\nresearchers whose findings were especially relevant to business aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRuss and I are extremely honored to receive the Meritorious\nService Award, and we\u2019re immensely grateful for this recognition from our\nindustry peers,\u201d said Bryan Burns, President, Air Charter Safety Foundation.\n\u201cACSF has come a long way in the past 14 years and winning this award would not\nhave been possible without the support, care and trust from our Board of\nGovernors and members.
