They were joined by Airport Authority Board Chair James\nNau and Vice-Chair Bob Tucker. This airport tour offered students an insight\ninto aviation careers in anticipation of a new Aviation Academy planned for\nWest Boca High School in 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Image-1-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22001\" width=\"376\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Image-1-edit.jpg 800w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Image-1-edit-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 376px) 100vw, 376px\" \/><figcaption><em>West Boca Community High School freshman, sophomore, and junior students and facility members are listening to management from Reliable Jet Maintenance speak. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the day, the students visited the various airport\nand tenant facilities which included: Airport Administration, Atlantic\nAviation, Boca Aircraft Maintenance, Signature Flight Support, Reliable Jet\nMaintenance, Lynn University Flight School, and US Customs and Border Protection\nFacility, where they learned how each of these facilities operates in support\nof the aviation industry. The students also had the opportunity to directly ask\nany questions about any aviation careers they were interested in pursuing in\nthe future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur annual student day is one of the highlights of our\nyear,\u201d said Boca Raton Airport Executive Director Clara Bennett. \u201cWe are proud\nto support our local public schools and hope we can inspire the next generation\nof aviation industry professionals through our educational programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tour was just the beginning of the new heights West\nBoca Community High School will reach with the new Aviation Academy planned for\n2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>34 West Boca High Community High School freshman, sophomore, and junior students and four facility members toured the Boca Raton Airport on Thursday, April 28th.
