The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced\ntoday that top Capitol Hill strategist, veteran political communications\nmanager and senior Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) executive Kristie\nGreco Johnson has been named the association\u2019s Senior Vice President for\nGovernment Affairs, effective June 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnson will direct NBAA\u2019s advocacy efforts with federal,\nstate and local government leaders regarding the promotion of business\naviation, including its focus on safety, security and sustainability, as well\nas its importance to the nation\u2019s economy and transportation system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnson will come to NBAA with more than 25 years of\nexperience at the highest level of government and politics, serving most\nrecently as chief of staff for Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-4-OR), a career-long\naviation advocate and current chair of the U.S. House Committee on\nTransportation & Infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She previously served as senior advisor for Rep. Jim Clyburn\n(D-6-SC) in his House leadership roles. She has also served as head of\ncommunications at the FAA, and as senior advisor on presidential and\ncongressional campaign committees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
