Wolf said. \u201cThese investments will help Pennsylvania\u2019s airports\noperate safely, expand to meet current demands, and sustain growth well into\nthe future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pennsylvania has 121 public-use aviation facilities\nincluding airports, heliports, and seaplane bases, and these new investments\nwill expand aviation-related operational and economic opportunities statewide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following is a by-county list of approved aviation projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Allegheny County: Pittsburgh International\nAirport \u2013 $2.4 million for continued Commercial Air Cargo facility development.\nDevelopment includes aircraft and vehicular access and parking, environmental\nremediation, and continued site preparation.<\/li><li>Berks County: Reading Regional\/Carl A. Spaatz\nField \u2013 $3 million for Air Operations Hangar Complex Infrastructure to\naccommodate the growth of an existing airport tenant.<\/li><li>Bucks County: Doylestown Airport \u2013 $150,000 for\nthe second phase of repaving and resealing aircraft parking areas and taxiways\nand $100,000 for the second phase of rehabilitation to hangars on the Northwest\narea of the airport.<\/li><li>Cumberland County: Carlisle Airport \u2013 $524,000\nfor design and construction of a terminal building to aid in continued economic\ndevelopment.<\/li><li>Jefferson County: DuBois Regional Airport \u2014\n$215,000 to rehabilitate T-hangar taxiways and apron pavement and $200,000 to\nrehabilitate administration building and upgrade the existing utilities.<\/li><li>Lancaster: Lancaster Airport \u2013 $750,000 to\ncomplete corporate hangar infrastructure to accommodate the growth of an\nexisting airport tenant and provide space for a new operation relocating to\nLancaster.<\/li><li>Lehigh County: Lehigh Valley International\nAirport \u2013 $1.76 million to continue terminal connector and security checkpoint\nexpansion and to enhance terminal commercial development connectivity.<\/li><li>Philadelphia County: Philadelphia International\nAirport \u2013 $500,000 for the rehabilitation of baggage tug tunnels to provide a\nsafer, timely, and streamlined baggage operations at PHL.<\/li><li>Snyder County: Penn Valley Airport \u2013 $250,000\nfor rehabilitation of T-hangar doors, roofs, and walls which will extend the\nlife of the existing structure.<\/li><li>York County: Capital City Airport \u2013 $150,000 for\nrehabilitation of airfield hangars roofs and structural reinforcement to repair\nrusted sheeting.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on aviation in Pennsylvania, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.penndot.pa.gov\/Doing-Business\/Aviation\/Pages\/default.aspx\">PennDOT website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor Tom Wolf announced $10 million in state investments to support 12 projects at 10 airports through the Aviation Transportation Assistance Program. \u201cAviation plays a vital role in keeping our state\u2019s economy moving,\u201d Gov.
