Glenn to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA)\nBoard of Commissioners. Glenn, who was nominated by City of Memphis Mayor Jim\nStrickland, will complete the term vacated by Jim Keras, who is stepping down\nfrom the MSCAA board after 15 years of service. Glenn\u2019s term will end on\nDecember 31, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Albert-Glenn-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21778\" width=\"175\" height=\"224\"\/><figcaption><em>Albert Glenn<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Glenn is a retired FedEx pilot whose career at the company\nspanned 44 years, during which he served in various management positions\nincluding Flight Duty Officer, Chief Pilot, and Managing Director of Global\nOperations. Glenn has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the\nOrganization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) and as Associate Vice President\nfor the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He has also served on the Professional\nAviation Board of Certification, Aviation Advisory Board at Western Michigan\nUniversity, and Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation\u2019s board. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Glenn remains an active volunteer in the Memphis community,\nincluding working with Luke Weathers Flight Academy, Aerospace Professional in\nSchool and Shelby County School\u2019s East T- STEM Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Airport Authority will certainly benefit from Albert\u2019s\nextensive experience and knowledge as a pilot and a member of the air\ntransportation industry, and I\u2019m grateful he has agreed to serve the City in\nthis capacity.\u201d said Mayor Strickland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Memphis City Council has approved the appointment of Captain Albert T.
