{"id":21590,"date":"2022-04-04T20:47:32","date_gmt":"2022-04-04T20:47:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=21590"},"modified":"2022-04-04T20:48:03","modified_gmt":"2022-04-04T20:48:03","slug":"faa-updates-airport-design-guidance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/faa-updates-airport-design-guidance\/%20","title":{"rendered":"FAA Updates Airport Design Guidance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Federal Aviation Administration updated its advisory circular on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/airports\/resources\/advisory_circulars\/index.cfm\/go\/document.current\/documentNumber\/150_5300-13\">Airport Design<\/a> that provides guidance to airport sponsors and airport consultants designing and developing airports around the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe advisory circular provides a critical roadmap for the\naviation industry when planning, designing and developing the nation\u2019s\nairports,\u201d said FAA Associate Administrator of Airports Shannetta R. Griffin.\n\u201cThis update contains the latest information the industry needs as we work\ncollaboratively to build safe, sustainable and accessible airport\ninfrastructure to safely transport passengers, goods and services.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This advisory circular outlines the FAA\u2019s recommended standards for an acceptable level of safety, efficiency and capacity when designing and implementing projects at airports to meet the requirements of Federal Aviation Regulation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/airports\/airport_safety\/part139_cert\/\">Part 139<\/a> Certification of Airports.
