It is extra meaningful because not only is it impactful\nfor the program, but also because it is inspired by Fred Smith, Founder, Chair,\nand CEO of FedEx, who was inducted into the NAHF in 2007. Our mission is to\nhonor aerospace legends to inspire future leaders, and when we receive support\nfrom an Enshrinee, we feel that we are accomplishing our mission at the highest\nlevel. &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Smith was inducted because of his impact as a Marine\nAviator and his use of aviation to change the way the world transports and\nlogistically moves goods. FedEx is the world&#8217;s largest transportation company,\nand integral to Smith&#8217;s vision for the organization is global engagement\nthrough giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of Discovering Flight is to inspire and build the\nconfidence of future aviation and aerospace innovators, which is an essential\npart of the NAHF&#8217;s mission. &#8220;We seek to ensure that all children have\nequal access to quality aviation and aerospace STEAM-based education,\u201d said\nSpowart. &#8220;Discovering Flight is a multi-faceted curriculum strategy,\ncreated by the leaders in early childhood education, ThinkTV\/PBS, that enables\nthe NAHF and our partners to support young learners and educators to engage our\naudience both in the Heritage Hall &amp; Education Center and remotely.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) is honored to share that their educational program, Discovering Flight: Learning With The National Aviation Hall of Fame, will be supported by a generous $5,000 grant provided by FedEx.
