The company also announced the appointment of Ms.\nCarol Huegel and Mr. James Coon to the board. All changes are effective\nimmediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carol Huegel is a Principal, Business Development in the\nMission Networks organization at L-3 Harris Technologies where she supports the\npartnership between L-3 Harris and the Federal Aviation Administration. She\ncomes to the RTCA board with a 30-year career in the global aviation industry,\nbringing safe, innovative solutions to balance demand and capacity in airspace\nsystems and increase efficiency and reliability for the traveling public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jim Coon is the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs\nand Advocacy for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He leads the\nstrategic implementation of political, legislative, and regulatory initiatives\non AOPA\u2019s behalf before Congress, federal departments and agencies, and state\nlegislatures across the country. He has spent 25 years on Capitol Hill in\nseveral senior staff positions including staff director for the House Committee\non Transportation and Infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to welcome Carol and Jim to RTCA\u2019s board\nas we continue to build on our strategic focus and direction for the future,\u201d\nsaid Terry McVenes, President &amp; CEO. \u201cI am also grateful for the valuable\ncontributions both Melissa and Gregg have provided RTCA in recent years.
