With these funds, the NAHF is providing immersive and engaging experiences in their state-of-the-art facility in Dayton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The generous $16,000 grant supports the creation of a\ncollection of digitally enhanced oral histories that will tell the story of\nAmerican aviation and innovation. These immersive films bring to life the\nhistory, scientific process of discovery, and the physical wonder of flight\nthrough the remarkable stories of the men and women who created our nation\u2019s\nrich aviation legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Board Chairman Michael Quiello said, \u201cThe NAHF is committed\nto preserving and sharing the outstanding accomplishments of America\u2019s premier\nair and space pioneers. The digital oral histories we are creating will further\nimmerse our visitors with a stimulating STEAM-based learning environment that engages\nvisitors from across the nation.\u201d Quiello adds, \u201cWe sincerely thank the Ohio\nHistory Fund for their commitment to aviation education and history. We make a\ngreat team in honoring the past and inspiring the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year the NAHF provides an increasing number of programs\nfor adults and children of all ages. NAHF President and CEO Amy Spowart shared,\n\u201cOur HHEC is free and open to the public and as we reinvigorate our space, we\nhave seen our attendance numbers grow. We are working diligently to engage\nvisitors and create impactful experiences and lasting memories. Co-located with\nthe National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, we are ideally situated to support\nand improve access to historical experiences that increase interest and build\nknowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is made possible in part by the Ohio History\nFund, a grant program of the Ohio History Connection. The Ohio History Fund is\nmade possible by voluntary contributions of state income tax refunds, sales of\nOhio History \u201cmastodon\u201d license plates, and other donations.
