Due to begin operating this summer, they will replace a\nfleet of four BAe 146 aircraft, upgrading range capability and substantially\nreducing operating expense, fuel consumption and emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21364\" width=\"322\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX-edit.jpg 700w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX-edit-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 322px) 100vw, 322px\" \/><figcaption><em>Falcon 900LX<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft are being acquired directly by aircraft\nmanagement and services company Centerline AV Limited of Bristol, UK, which\nwill operate and support the 900LX units on behalf of the Ministry of Defense\n(MoD). Centerline will initially operate the aircraft with mixed civilian and\nRAF crews. The 900LX\u2019s will replace the esteemed BAe146 in what the UK MoD\nterms \u2018Command Support Air Transport\u2019\u2014transporting senior defense and\ngovernment officials and occasionally members of the Royal Family. The aircraft\nwere acquired in an open tender against various other business aircraft models.\nA Royal Air Force spokesman praised the aircraft as \u201cmodern and efficient.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 900LX is known for its robust construction, reliability,\nsuperior handling and excellent short-field capability. Its classic trijet\nconfiguration is valued by many operators for its ability to allow more direct\noverwater routings with an extra margin of safety. \u201cDassault Aviation is honored\nto have been selected to provide these two Falcon 900LX\u2019s to Centerline for use\nby the UK Ministry of Defense, and we look forward to strengthening this\nrelationship over the coming years,\u201d said Dassault Aviation Chairman and CEO\nEric Trappier.&nbsp; \u201cWith more than 550\nairplanes sold to date, the 900-series aircraft is a proven performer and is\nentrusted with critical missions throughout the world by governments and\nleading businesses.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/04.-Falcon_900LX-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21365\" width=\"285\" height=\"189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/04.-Falcon_900LX-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/04.-Falcon_900LX-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/04.-Falcon_900LX.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 285px) 100vw, 285px\" \/><figcaption><em>Falcon 900LX<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The 12-14 seat 900LX has a range of 4,750 nm (8,800 km). As\nwith all Falcons, the 900LX benefits from Dassault\u2019s fighter heritage, which\nensures superior aerodynamics and responsiveness during flight. The aircraft\u2019s\nEASy II flight deck, with its large screens, sharp graphics and intuitive\nfeatures, assures optimal crew coordination and situational awareness. On the\nbusiness aviation front, Dassault Aviation has topped customer service surveys\nfrom Aviation International News for the past three years.
