{"id":21274,"date":"2022-03-10T00:02:05","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T00:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=21274"},"modified":"2022-03-10T00:02:08","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T00:02:08","slug":"avelo-to-become-rdus-13th-airline-in-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/north-carolina\/avelo-to-become-rdus-13th-airline-in-may\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Avelo to Become RDU\u2019s 13th Airline in May"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Avelo Airlines will launch new nonstop flights in May from\nRDU to Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut, providing business and\nleisure travelers with affordable and convenient options for visiting the New\nEngland and New York regions.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Aveloe-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21275\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to partner with Avelo as they become RDU\u2019s\n13th airline and add a new destination to the growing list of cities we serve,\u201d\nsaid Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport\nAuthority. \u201cAvelo\u2019s choice to make RDU their only airport in North Carolina\nshows their investment in the Research Triangle and we welcome them to the\nregion.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new route begins May 26 on Avelo\u2019s 147-seat Boeing\nNext-Generation 737-700 aircraft. Flights will initially be offered five days a\nweek and will expand to six days a week in mid-June.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avelo Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, \u201cRDU \u2014 say hello to\nAvelo. We are excited to offer RDU the only nonstop service to Connecticut.\nWith our low fares and HVN\u2019s unmatched convenience, Avelo makes getting to the\nConnecticut region easier than ever. We look forward to welcoming RDU to our\nrapidly expanding national network of popular destinations.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introductory one-way fares between RDU and HVN will start at\n$49* and are available at AveloAir.com. The one-way $49 introductory fare\nincludes government taxes and fees. The fare must be booked by March 22, 2022.\nThis introductory fare is available on a limited number of flights and seats.\nAdditional fees for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats and other\noptional services may apply.
