Clear themes throughout the summit were the\nneed to take a collective effort as an industry to accelerate innovation and\nestablishing advance air mobility\u2019s position in the wider public transport\nindustry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Urban-and-Adv-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21254\" width=\"302\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Urban-and-Adv-edit.jpg 600w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Urban-and-Adv-edit-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event\u2019s opening keynote, Starr Ginn, AAM National\nCampaign Lead at NASA, shared details of the latest strides the administration\nhas made within its Urban Air Mobility (UAM) Grand Challenge, which aims to\ntest the capabilities and readiness of vehicles and systems that could\nrevolutionize mobility in and around densely populated metropolitan areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussing where the advanced air mobility could take the\naerospace in the future, David Rottblatt, VP of Business Development at Eve Air\nMobility, revealed the vital need to collaborate as an industry: \u201cWe are now at\nthe pivotal moment \u2013 the electrification of aviation. This future will depend\non how we liaise and share thoughts, maintain positive relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following on from the topic of advancements in the industry,\nMichael Cervenka, President of Vertical Aerospace Group, shared belief that\neVTOL was just around the corner. \u201cThe question is no longer \u2018Is it going to\nhappen?\u2019 but \u2018who will be the main players making that a reality?\u2019. This is an\nincredibly exciting time in aviation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event provided an engaged platform for industry pioneers\nto announce new innovations and partnerships. Alauda Aeronautics and\nAirspeeder, the world\u2019s first eVTOL racing series, announced a global first \u2013\nthe first hyper factory to manufacture racing eVTOLs. In a FINN exclusive,\nAirspeeder revealed that construction of the facility was being made possible\nthanks to A$20million funding from the Central Australian Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed and hosted by Farnborough International, organizers\nof the pivotal Farnborough International Airshow, GUAAS partnered with\nSmartCitiesWorld and World Economic Forum (WEF) to launch the Cities &amp;\nRegions Forum, a world first opportunity to bring policymakers together from\naround the world to discuss how to implement efficient and effective mobility\nin rural, regional and urban areas.
