Phoenix Sky Harbor\u2019s goal is to provide a mix of national and\nlocal brands for Phoenix passengers, including local business and minority\nrepresentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"197\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/8th-Concourse-at-PHX-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/8th-Concourse-at-PHX-edit.jpg 350w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/8th-Concourse-at-PHX-edit-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith local businesses like Changing Hands bookstore and\nMelrose Pharmacy, along with a statewide favorite like Eegee&#8217;s, we will now be\nshowcasing some of the best we have to offer,&#8221; said Mayor Kate Gallego. \u201cI\nam always committed to creating opportunities for small businesses to succeed.\nPlacing these organizations in front of global travelers is a great way to\naccelerate their growth and accentuate the things that make our community such\na fabulous place to be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Food and Beverage Concessions Phase 1 Package has been\nawarded to The Grove, Inc. The Grove, Inc. is a woman-owned business and has\ncommitted to 40% small business participation. Concepts that will be included\nas part of the Grove\u2019s operations are local concepts Pedal Haus Brewery and\nBerry Divine \u2013 Acai Bowls; regional concepts Bobby\u2019s Burgers and Eegee\u2019s; and\nnational concept Chick-Fil-A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to be part of the beautiful and innovative\nconcourse and thrilled to expand our operations to the great city of Phoenix,\u201d\nsaid Nina Madonia, CEO of The Grove, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emerging Domestic Market Ventures, LLC was awarded the Food\nand Beverage Concessions Phase 1 Package 2. This is another small business\nopportunity for food and beverage concessions. Their outlet Sip Coffee &amp;\nBeer will feature menu concepts from local Arizona companies such as CULT\nArtisan Beverage Company, Native Ground Coffee, Mother Road Brewing Company,\nTr3s Leches Caf\u00e9, Wild Tonic Kombucha, Half Moon Empanadas, San Tan Brewery,\nReal American Hero Coffee Company, Cactus Licker Coffee, Wild Tonic, and Salud\nEats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am excited to showcase so many small, local and\nminority-owned businesses,\u201d says Gonzalo de la Melena, Founder &amp; CEO of\nEmerging Domestic Market Ventures, LLC. \u201cSky Harbor is an economic engine for\nPhoenix and including diverse companies that are a reflection of our community\nis good for business and good for our economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having access to local products and stores is also important\nfor Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and with the award of Retail\nConcessions Phase 1 Package to The Marshall Retail Group, LLC, travelers will\nsee unique and quality merchandise emphasizing the local culture. In fact, The\nMarshall Retail Group, LLC will incorporate several popular Valley retail\ninstitutions into their shops, including Changing Hands Bookstore and Melrose\nPharmacy. One retail space is a news and convenience store with a specialty\nretail within the space. Marshall Retail Group has formed a joint venture with\nCASA Unlimited, Changing Hands Bookstore and Melrose Pharmacy and will have a\n25% small business participation rate for the space. AD Partnership LLC dba Sapphire Lounge by the Club has received the\naward recommendation. The Sapphire Lounge by The Club will feature\n3,500-square-feet of space and provide travelers with access to a destination\nto relax or work. The lounge will highlight many local elements and feature a\nspecially curated menu. The 130,000 square foot concourse at Terminal 4, Phoenix Sky Harbor\u2019s busiest terminal, will also feature a variety of customer amenities from access to charging stations throughout the area, an Animal Relief Area, a nursing room, art, and beautiful views of South Mountain and the surrounding areas.
