As vice president, exhibits, she will work\nclosely with the team responsible for all aspects of strategic planning and\nexhibitor relations for NBAA\u2019s full suite of events, including the NBAA\nBusiness Aviation Convention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), the European\nBusiness Aviation Convention &amp; Exhibition (EBACE), the Schedulers &amp;\nDispatchers Conference, the Maintenance Conference and NBAA\u2019s Regional Forums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSacha\u2019s deep knowledge of the conference and exhibition\nspace and strong leadership skills are perfectly attuned to NBAA\u2019s commitment\nto bringing the business aviation community together again with educational and\nexciting in-person events,\u201d said NBAA Senior Vice President, Events Chris Strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carey joins NBAA from The Water Environment Federation\n(WEF). As WEF\u2019s senior director, corporate development and industry relations,\nshe was responsible for leading the sales team, budgeting, negotiating\ncontracts, reporting and collaborating with marketing for all of the\nAlexandria, VA-based organization\u2019s events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to WEF, Carey worked for the McLean, VA-based Food\nProcessing Suppliers Association, where she handled international programs and\nmembership prior to moving into the exhibition management position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carey received her Certified in Exhibition Management\ndesignation from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events in\n2009 and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and\nInternational Association of Exhibitions and Events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She currently serves on the Research Council for the Center\nfor Exhibition Industry Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society, Carey\ngraduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in Chinese\nLanguage and Literature.
