{"id":2113,"date":"2016-02-21T16:41:45","date_gmt":"2016-02-21T16:41:45","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2016-02-21T16:41:45","modified_gmt":"2016-02-21T16:41:45","slug":"daher-unveils-new-features-its-model-year-2016-tbm-900","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/news\/daher-unveils-new-features-its-model-year-2016-tbm-900\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Daher unveils new features of its Model Year 2016 TBM 900"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\\wp-content\\uploads\/TBM900_82714-7152edit.jpg\" align=\"right\" width=\"400\" height=\"246\" alt=\"TBM900_82714-7152edit.jpg\" \/> The Model Year 2016 version of Daher\u2019s TBM 900 very fast turboprop aircraft incorporates improvements to further enhance flight envelope protection, improve warning identification and facilitate flight planning. <\/p>\n<p>These enhancements, which are being detailed during this week\u2019s the Singapore Airshow at the Changi Exhibition Centre, were introduced with Garmin\u2019s new software release for the G1000 V15 avionics suite \u2013 which is the TBM 900\u2019s all-glass cockpit configuration. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Model Year 2016 TBM 900, we are offering our customers a concentration of innovation, technology and safety improvements that can be compared to bringing an \u2018ecopilot\u2019 into the cockpit to reduce the pilot\u2019s workload,\u201d explained Nicolas Chabbert, the Senior Vice President of Daher\u2019s Airplane Business Unit. \u201cThose innovations reflect our policy of constant improvement, which offers TBM customers the latest technology available for the optimized use of their aircraft.\u201d<br \/>\n<!--break--><br \/>\nThe enhancements include&nbsp;:<\/p>\n<p>Flight envelope monitoring through the Electronic Stability and Protection (ESP) and the Under-speed Protection (USP) systems, both of which have been added to the autopilot. These electronic monitoring and stability augmentation systems assist the pilot in maintaining the aircraft in a stable flight condition when flight parameters are exceeded.<\/p>\n<p>New aural alerts for stall, overspeed, landing gear extension and oxygen mask use. These alerts replace aural sounds for better warning identification.<\/p>\n<p>An AOA (Angle of Attack) sensor with visualization on the cockpit\u2019s Primary Flight Display electronic instruments.<br \/>\nTwo-way wireless link-up to the aircraft\u2019s Garmin G1000 all-glass cockpit avionics suite from a mobile device that runs the Garmin Pilot\u2122 application. This Bluetooth\u00ae linkup is via Garmin\u2019s Flight Stream 210 wireless gateway, and enables the syncing of prepared flight plans and streaming of GPS, weather, traffic and other information to\/from the avionics system.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Daher is including the L-3 Lightweight Data Recorder from L-3 Aviation Products as standard equipment on the TBM 900 for voice and flight data recording.
