These hands-on training opportunities\nenable pilots to learn more about Garmin avionics in a virtual or in-person\nclassroom environment taught by a team of dedicated and experienced flight\ninstructors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional instructor-led training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the year, Garmin welcomes the opportunity to offer instructor-led classroom training for all levels of experience at its headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, along with a regional GTN and Flight Display training at Garmin\u2019s office in Cary, North Carolina. The health and safety of customers and associates remains paramount to Garmin, and all Covid-19 safety protocols will be followed in the trainings. This class is intended\nfor both novice and experienced aviators using scenario-based training that\nbuilds on knowledge obtained through the GTN 2.0 eLearning course. The cost for\nthis training is $550.<\/li><li>GTN and Flight Display: This one-day virtual\ntraining class, or two-day in-person classroom training, includes instruction\non the GTN\/GTN Xi navigators and TXi series, G3X Touch and the G500\/G600\ndisplays. The training focuses on flight planning and instrument procedures for\nthose new to the GTN or just looking for a refresher and builds on knowledge\nobtained through the GTN 2.0 eLearning course. The cost for this training at\nthe Olathe office is $700, and the cost for the regional training in Cary is\n$875.<\/li><li>G1000\u00ae\/G1000 NXi: With an emphasis on flight\nplanning, instrument procedures, vertical navigation, and the automatic flight\ncontrol system, this one-day instructor-led virtual training class, or two-day\nin-person classroom training explores the vast capabilities of the G1000\nintegrated flight deck, building on knowledge obtained through G1000 NXi\neLearning course. The cost for this training is $825.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Take full advantage of Garmin avionics features and capabilities with eLearning Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pilots can receive in-depth instruction to better prepare for flights through eLearning courses that guide them through scenarios intended to build understanding and confidence with Garmin avionics. Using a computer, tablet or smartphone, pilots can access the courseware immediately through the eLearning platform. Garmin eLearning courses come with a two-year subscription and can be purchased at <a href=\"https:\/\/fly.garmin.com\/fly-garmin\/training\/?loggedInThisSession=false\">fly.garmin.com\/training<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The following eLearning opportunities are available:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Garmin GTN Essentials 2.0: This course provides\nin-depth instruction on the fundamental operation of the highly capable GTN and\nGTN Xi touchscreen navigators, as well as helicopter features, for pilots that\nare new to the GTN or just want a refresher.<\/li><li>Garmin TXi Essentials 2.0: For pilots that are\nnew to the system, this course will provide instruction on fundamental\noperation of the touchscreen flight display.<\/li><li>Garmin G1000 NXi: Pilots will have four\ncomprehensive courses to choose from that will provide in-depth training on the\nG1000 NXi depending on the needs of the pilot to enable effective use of the\nsystem\u2019s situational awareness and decision-making resources.<\/li><li>Garmin G3000\u00ae Essentials 2.0: This eLearning\ncourse introduces pilots to the operation and user interface of the G3000\nintegrated flight deck.<\/li><li>Garmin G5000\u00ae Essentials 2.0 and 2.0 PLUS:\nIntroduces pilots to the operation and user interface of the G5000 integrated\nflight deck, including the latest features. The G5000 Essentials 2.0 PLUS\ncourse includes a separate module that describes autothrottle usage.<\/li><li>Garmin Aviation Weather Radar 2.0: This course\nhelps pilots understand the fundamentals of weather radar and the latest\nfeatures to take full advantage of Garmin GWX\u2122 systems.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following eLearning courses are expected to be added\nlater in 2022: GFC 500 Essentials, G3X Touch Experimental and G3X Touch\nCertified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Attend monthly one-hour webinars<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These scenario-based webinars are offered monthly for no charge and are intended to help pilots explore various avionics setups, flight planning, navigation and other features with Garmin pilot instructors. The team plans to provide GTN\nSeries training seminars from July 25-31, focusing on what is most important to\ncustomers \u2013 flight planning and instrument approach procedures. Garmin will\nalso offer the G3X Touch Academy and other GTN pilot training seminars in the\nGarmin tents. Free pilot guides are available for download for all retrofit installations including the GTN series, GTN Xi series, G500\/G600, G500\/G600\/G700 TXi, and G3X Touch. For integrated flight decks such as the G1000, G3000 and G5000, the pilot\u2019s guides are available from the aircraft manufacturer.
