{"id":20818,"date":"2022-01-31T18:09:29","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T18:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=20818"},"modified":"2022-01-31T18:09:34","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T18:09:34","slug":"the-2022-flight-instructor-hall-of-fame-nominations-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/the-2022-flight-instructor-hall-of-fame-nominations-open\/%20","title":{"rendered":"The 2022 Flight Instructor Hall of Fame Nominations Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Nominations for the 2022 class of Hall of Fame Inductee(s)\nwill be accepted until April 1, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Administered by the National Association of Flight\nInstructors (NAFI), inductees in the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame represent\nindividual(s) who have made significant contributions to aviation education and\nflight instruction while reflecting credit upon themselves and their profession.\nIt highlights the important role flight instructors play as a foundation for\nthe safety of the entire national air transportation system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to NAFI Director of Program Development and HOF\nadministrator, \u201cIt is important to note that the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame\nis not a NAFI award, rather we administer the program on behalf of the entire\naviation and flight training community.\u201d Niehaus continued, \u201cTo maintain the\nintegrity of the program, the judges represent a vast array of aviation professionals.\nHaving the privilege to participate in the selection of these individuals was\nvery gratifying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Flight Instructor Hall of Fame judges include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Retired US Marine Corps aviator and current\ndirector of education and training services at the Helicopter Association\nInternational, Greg Brown<\/li><li>Retired US Air Force instructor and former 121\ninstructor pilot, Colonel Julie Tizard<\/li><li>Executive Director of the American Bonanza\nSociety Air Safety Foundation and former Hall of Fame inductee, Tom Turner<\/li><li>Board member of Women in Aviation, extremely\nexperienced and talented flight instructor, Britney Tough.<\/li><li>Former 121 instructor pilot, celebrated AOPA\nauthor, and another former Hall of Fame inductee, Barry Schiff<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> To learn more about the Hall of Fame award program, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/nafinet.org\/flight-instructor-hall-of-fame\">NAFI<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations for the 2022 class of Hall of Fame Inductee(s) will be accepted until April 1, 2022.
