The\nSuper Bowl will be held Feb. 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood,\nCalifornia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/NFL-safety-plan.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20816\" width=\"308\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NFL-safety-plan.jpg 390w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NFL-safety-plan-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The agency is planning for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/newsroom\/super-bowl-lvi-flight-requirements-ga-pilots\">hundreds of additional take-offs and landings <\/a>and aircraft parked at Los Angeles-area airports during Super Bowl week. Special procedures, including Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/uas\/resources\/community_engagement\/no_drone_zone\/\">No Drone Zone<\/a>, will limit flights around SoFi Stadium before, during and after the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/tfr.faa.gov\/tfr2\/list.html\">game-day TFR<\/a> will go into effect at approximately 2:30 p.m. PST. It will cover a ring of 30 nautical miles (34.5 miles), centered over the stadium and from the ground up to 18,000 feet in altitude. It will expire at 8:30 p.m. PST, but may be extended if conditions warrant. Drones also are prohibited inside the TFR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pilots must be aware of the latest flight advisories and\ncheck Notices to Air Missions (NOTAM) before flying. Pilots and drone operators\nwho enter the TFRs without permission could face civil penalties that exceed\n$30,000 and potential criminal prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TFR will not affect regularly scheduled commercial\nflights at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
