The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT)\napproved Norse Atlantic Airways\u2019 application for the operation of flights\nbetween Norway\/The European Union and the United States.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This significant milestone\nbrings Norse one step closer to launching affordable and more environmentally\nfriendly service to customers traveling between Europe and the United States.\nWe appreciate the USDOT’s constructive and prompt approach, and we look forward\nto working with them in the months ahead,\u201d said Norse CEO and Founder Bj\u00c3\u00b8rn\nTore Larsen.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norse Atlantic will deliver many jobs to American workers,\nincluding hundreds of U.S.-based flight attendants, and will partner with local\ncommunities, tourism organizations, businesses, and labor to stimulate economic\ngrowth in regions throughout the United States and Europe. In May, Norse\nAtlantic reached a historic pre-hire agreement with the U.S. Association of\nFlight Attendants.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wide support for affordable transatlantic flights <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception, Norse Atlantic has received wide\nsupport from communities, airport authorities, and labor organizations on both\nsides of the Atlantic.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are grateful for the support from community and labor\nleaders who are enthusiastic about the service we will deliver. We believe that\ntransatlantic travel will resume with full force once the pandemic is behind\nus. People will want to explore new destinations, visit friends and family and\ntravel for business. Norse will be there to offer attractive and affordable\nflights on our more environmentally friendly Boeing 787 Dreamliners to both the\nleisure and cost-conscious business traveler,\u201d Larsen added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December 2021, Norse received its Air Operator’s\nCertificate by Norway\u2019s Civil Aviation Authority and took delivery of its first\nBoeing 787-9 Dreamliner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
