Anderson, who was nominated by City of Memphis Mayor Jim\nStrickland, will serve her new term from January 1, 2022, until December 31,\n2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Belinda-Anderson-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20544\" width=\"190\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Belinda-Anderson-edit.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Belinda-Anderson-edit-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/><figcaption><em>Belinda Anderson<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Anderson has extensive experience in the airline industry,\nbeginning as a flight attendant for Republic Airlines and later managing the\nairline\u2019s Memphis Worldclub, which later become the Delta Skyclub. She served\nfor seven years on the Tennessee Aeronautics Commission, which maintains\noversight of funding and regulatory related issues for the state\u2019s commercial\nand general aviation airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An active community volunteer, Anderson currently serves as\nan Executive Board member for both the Levitt Shell and Leadership Memphis. She\nformerly served as a board member for Memphis Tourism, Mid-South Fair, Overton\nPark Conservancy, and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.
