The new airline is on\ntrack to start transatlantic flights in spring 2022.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"231\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Norse-Atlantic-landing-in-Oslo-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Norse-Atlantic-landing-in-Oslo-edit.jpg 350w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Norse-Atlantic-landing-in-Oslo-edit-300x198.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to thank Norway\u2019s Civil Aviation Authority\nfor a constructive and professional process. We are now one important step\ncloser to launching our attractive and affordable flights between Europe and\nthe U.S. in spring next year,\u201d said CEO and founder Bj\u00c3\u00b8rn Tore Larsen of\nNorse.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had a good and constructive dialogue with Norse\nthroughout the process of issuing a Norwegian AOC. We wish them the best of\nluck and look forward to a continued fruitful relationship going forward,\u201d said\nDirector General of the Civil Aviation Authorities of Norway, Lars E. de Lange\nKobberstad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An AOC is the approval granted by a national aviation\nauthority to an aircraft operator to allow it to use aircraft for commercial\npurposes. This requires the operator to have personnel, assets and systems in\nplace to ensure the safety of its employees and the general public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI would also like to commend my colleagues at Norse for\ntheir outstanding efforts getting the important AOC in place,\u201d Bj\u00c3\u00b8rn Tore\nLarsen added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norse plans to start commercial operation in spring 2022 and\nthe first flights will depart from Oslo to selected cities in the U.S.,\nincluding New York and Florida. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority today issued an air operator\u2019s certificate (AOC) to Norse Atlantic Airways.
