The money can be\ninvested in runways, taxiways, safety and sustainability projects, as well as\nterminal, airport-transit connections and roadway projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has given us a\nonce-in-a-generation opportunity to build safer and more sustainable airports\nthat connect individuals to jobs and communities to the world,\u201d said U.S.\nTransportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. \u201cWith this new funding, urban,\nregional and rural airports across the country now can get to work on projects\nthat have waited for years, modernizing their infrastructure and building a\nbetter America.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For an interactive map and listing of funding for individual airports, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.faa.gov\/bil\/airport-infrastructure\">www.faa.gov\/bil\/airport-infrastructure<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Airports can submit proposals to the FAA for review in the\ncoming weeks. The FAA encourages applicants to prioritize projects that\nincrease airport safety, equity and sustainability. The agency also plans to\nconduct outreach to the minority business community about these opportunities\nat airports across the nation.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Airports in 50 states and five territories are the\nbeneficiaries of this first round of funding. Just some of the funding at\nairports include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>San Diego International, CA:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $24.2M<\/li><li>Denver International, CO:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $59.1M<\/li><li>Great Falls International, MT:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $1.89M&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>Asheville Regional, NC:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $4.3M<\/li><li>Yeager Airport, WV:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $2.1M<\/li><li>Unalaska Airport, AK:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; $1 M<\/li><li>Luis Munoz Marin International, San Juan $11.2M<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The money will come from the Airport Infrastructure Grant\nprogram, one of three new aviation programs created by the Bipartisan\nInfrastructure Law. The law provides $15 billion over five years for this\nprogram.
