Most recently, he served as Staff Director and Special\nAdvisor on Aviation Safety for the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation\nand Infrastructure Committee\u2019s Aviation Subcommittee. Burkett has also spent\ntime working at United Airlines as Director of Regulatory Compliance, and the\nNational Transportation Safety Board as an attorney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlex brings over a decade of policy, safety and legal\nexpertise to GAMA. We will rely on his knowledge and experience to advocate and\nsupport the priorities of our membership. He will be able to provide GAMA with\na keen understanding of the policy issues that are paramount to the health of\nour industry, such as safety and certification. Alex is a great addition to our\ntalented team,\u201d said Pete Bunce, GAMA President and CEO.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burkett is a native of Georgia and received his bachelor\u2019s\ndegree from Vanderbilt University and his juris doctorate from Florida State\nUniversity College of Law.
