The RFQ\nincludes the development of the airport, which may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The lease and operation of the new 28,500 square\nfoot hangar and related facilities<\/li><li>Fixed-based operations<\/li><li>Development of airfield parcels <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"202\" height=\"71\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/St-Lucie.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20363\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The RFQ may appeal to multiple aviation businesses including\nmaintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), fixed-based operators, manufacturing,\ntraining\/education and other aviation-related businesses. Given the various\npossible uses of the facilities and premises described in the RFQ, St. Lucie\nCounty may award a contract to more than one proposer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Hangar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance, repair, and\noverhaul (MRO) hangar, recently completed, is one of the new facilities\nimmediately available in the marketplace. The hangar has a peak height of 59.4\nfeet, a 44-foot-high by 170-foot-wide hangar door, a 190-foot by 150-foot\napron, and is protected by a wet automatic fire sprinkler\/high expansion foam\nsystem that has the capacity to serve future hangars on adjacent available\nparcels. The hangar can accommodate an Airbus A320 and Embraer 175 commercial airliner\nor two Gulfstream 650 corporate jets simultaneously. Additionally, the hangar\ncan accommodate an Airbus A321 or Boeing 737-800.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Parcels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four shovel-ready parcels adjacent to the hangar,\nranging from 2.26 to 4.07 acres. Additionally, there are 27 acres on the\nairport\u2019s west side available for future expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This RFQ is the first step in a multi-step procurement process. Sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) will be received by the Purchasing Division until 4 p.m., local time, on Jan. 19, 2022. St. Lucie County will hold pre-submittal meetings and site tours on Tuesday, Dec. 21 and Tuesday, Jan. 4 to assist interested parties in evaluating opportunities and engaging in question and answers with county staff. The pre-submittal meetings are non-mandatory and can be done virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Treasure Coast International Airport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With tremendous growth potential, the Treasure Coast\nInternational Airport, located at 3000 Curtis King Blvd. in Fort Pierce,\nFlorida, is owned and operated by the St. Lucie County Board of County\nCommissioners. It is currently a general aviation airport spanning 3,844 acres\nand is host to a nearly six dozen tenants including aeronautic businesses such\nas aircraft maintenance and storage, a flight training school, air taxi and\ncharter services, and medical transport.
