The 2022 group, which\nwill begin in August, will be the fourth apprenticeship class to begin at Piper\nAircraft\u2019s world headquarters in Vero Beach, FL. The two-year program includes\na combination of on-the-job training, as well as classroom instruction designed\nto qualify the participants as a Journeyman in Aircraft Assembly. Each\napprentice is a paid employee of Piper Aircraft and receives a full benefits\npackage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Piper-2020-Apprentices-1024x620.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20340\" width=\"307\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Piper-2020-Apprentices-1024x620.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Piper-2020-Apprentices-300x182.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Piper-2020-Apprentices.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><figcaption><em>2020 Aprentices<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The accredited apprenticeship program, which is conducted in\ncooperation with Indian River State College, began in August 2019 and was\ncreated in response to the increasing demand for high quality manufacturing\ncandidates at Piper Aircraft. The first group of apprentices, which began in\n2019, graduated in the summer of 2021. The second class is currently in the\nfinal stage of their apprenticeship and will graduate in August 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2022 application can be found on the Piper website under\nthe Careers tab: www.piper.com. Applications are due May 31, 2022, following\nwhich interviews will be scheduled the week of June 25, 2022, for eligible\napplicants.
