{"id":20209,"date":"2021-12-04T15:30:25","date_gmt":"2021-12-04T15:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=20209"},"modified":"2021-12-04T15:30:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-04T15:30:27","slug":"craft-flight-training-and-purdue-university-global-partner-to-allow-students-to-get-college-credit-for-flight-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/south-carolina\/craft-flight-training-and-purdue-university-global-partner-to-allow-students-to-get-college-credit-for-flight-training\/%20","title":{"rendered":"CRAFT Flight Training and Purdue University Global Partner to Allow Students to Get College Credit for Flight Training"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CRAFT Flight Training and Purdue University Global have\nformed a partnership which allows students to get college credit for flight\ntraining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning Dec. 8, students accepted into the Purdue Global\nprofessional flight degree program will complete their Bachelor of Science\ndegree courses online through Purdue Global, while completing flight training\nat CRAFT Flight Training or one of several other Purdue Global affiliates\nacross the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCRAFT Flight Training is pleased to partner with Purdue\nGlobal University to provide our students and staff the opportunity to save\ntime and money while pursuing the degree that they need to get to the majors,\u201d\nsaid Amanda Aldea, co-owner of CRAFT Flight Training in Charleston, South\nCarolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who complete all five flight certificates\/ratings \u2013\nPrivate Pilot Certification, Instrument Flight Rating, Commercial Pilot\nCertification, Flight Instructor Flight Certification and Multiengine Flight Certification\n\u2013 will receive 45 college credits from Purdue Global towards their bachelor\u2019s\ndegree in professional flight, equivalent to one year of college credits.\nStudents who have college credits from previous schools may also receive\nadditional transfer credits, thereby saving them more money and allowing them\nto graduate faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to join forces with an established flight\ntraining center like CRAFT Flight Training to bolster our popular professional\nflight program,\u201d said Sara Sander, Purdue Global vice president and dean of the\nCollege of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the School of Education. \u201cThe\nbenefits to our students training under CRAFT Flight Training is the\nsignificant cost savings and speed to obtaining the five flight\ncertificates\/ratings required within our professional flight program. Students\ncan realistically accelerate their path to the airlines by one or two years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRAFT Flight Training students, employees and immediate\nfamily members (spouse, domestic partner, children, siblings and parents) will\nreceive 20% tuition reduction for undergraduate degrees and certificates and\n14% reduction for graduate degrees and certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Purdue Global\u2019s professional flight degree program is a\ncollaboration between Purdue Global and Purdue University\u2019s School of Aviation\nand Transportation Technology \u2013 announced in 2019.
