The Council sets ACI-NA\u2019s government relations activities to\nrepresent and advocate the interests of U.S. airports before Congress and the\nadministration, particularly with the Department of Transportation, Federal\nAviation Administration and Department of Homeland Security. Among the\nCouncil\u2019s focus areas is securing adequate relief funding, which will be\ncritical as airports work to keep infrastructure safe, operational and ready\nfor the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siegel is responsible for the administration, operations and\ndevelopment of Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Page Field\n(FMY) in Fort Myers. He has been with the Lee County Port Authority since 1992\nand is an experienced airport executive with an extensive background in\nbusiness and finance. He is currently overseeing the construction completion of\na new Airport Traffic Control Tower and a three-year $331-million Terminal\nExpansion Project at Southwest Florida International Airport. Siegel is a\nCertified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives, as well as\na member of the Florida Airports Council, Airports Council International-North\nAmerica, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American\nInstitute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science in\nbusiness administration from the University of South Florida and is a Certified\nPublic Accountant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACI-NA represents local, regional and state governing bodies\nthat own and operate commercial airports in the United States and Canada.\nACI-NA member airports enplane more than 95 percent of the domestic and\nvirtually all the international airline passenger and cargo traffic in North\nAmerica.
