Lynx Air (Lynx) has announced its arrival as Canada\u2019s newest\nultra-affordable airline, on a mission to make Canadian air travel accessible\nto all, with low fares, a fleet of brand-new Boeing 737 aircraft and great\ncustomer service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynx will adopt the ultra-low-cost carrier model, which has\nrevolutionized air travel across Europe and the United States, offering low\nfares, flexibility and choice. The airline has selected Calgary as its\nheadquarters and plans to announce routes and schedules soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merren McArthur has been named CEO of Lynx, bringing a\nwealth of aviation experience to the role. She has served as CEO of ultra-low-cost\ncarrier Tigerair Australia, CEO of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines and\nfounding CEO of Virgin Australia Cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynx will operate a fleet of Boeing\u2019s newest 737 aircraft,\nfeaturing leading-edge fuel-efficient technology. The airline has firm orders\nand lease agreements in place for a total of 46 aircraft over the next seven\nyears to meet anticipated demand. The first three Boeing 737s will arrive in\nearly 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
