In\naddition, American will reimagine business travel in 2022 with the launch of\nMain Select for business travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/JetBlue-A321_First_Flight_J27_0092_mod_cropedit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19987\" width=\"135\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/JetBlue-A321_First_Flight_J27_0092_mod_cropedit.jpg 568w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/JetBlue-A321_First_Flight_J27_0092_mod_cropedit-223x300.jpg 223w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 135px) 100vw, 135px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe NEA is open for business, providing customers the most\nfrequencies in New York, the best routes across key business markets and\nreciprocal status benefits,\u201d American\u2019s Chief Revenue Officer Vasu Raja said.\n\u201cWith lie-flat seats offered in all transcontinental markets and a robust\ninternational network that includes the launch of 10 new routes, the NEA is\nspurring competition in New York and transforming travel beyond the northeast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The innovative alliance between American and JetBlue\ncontinues to increase competition in the Northeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The NEA has already supercharged competition in the\nNortheast by providing more choices and better service for customers,\u201d said\nScott Laurence, head of Revenue and Planning at JetBlue. \u201cWe were able to\ndeliver on more consumer benefits, including most recently, more JetBlue flying\nout of LaGuardia than ever before, and reciprocal elite benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Easiest way to travel the East Coast<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"214\" height=\"142\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Aircraft-Exterior-AA-Aircraft-Tail-Terminal-IIedit-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19988\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The NEA has created more frequencies in New York than any\nother airline, offering consumers access to nearly 60 markets, and more than 48\nmarkets from Boston. And with a retimed 2022 schedule in high-frequency markets\nsuch as from Boston (BOS) to Washington, D.C. (DCA) and New York (LGA) to DCA,\nthe NEA will offer customers the most convenient service on key business\nroutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, JetBlue added its code to several international\nflights on American\u2019s network and continues to add its code to further domestic\nand international flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers can now easily connect from an American flight to\na JetBlue flight and vice versa through New York (JFK) as the two airlines are\nnow offering codeshare connections to nearly 600 origin and destination\nmarkets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since January, the NEA has brought more service to customers\nin New York and Boston, including 58 new routes, increased frequencies on more\nthan 130 routes and codeshare on 175 routes. The NEA has also created\nreciprocal codeshare on the largest connecting markets from JFK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The return of international travel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While other airlines try to make old routes new again,\nAmerican has continued to operate its international schedule during the pandemic.\nBolstered by the NEA, American is currently the fastest growing international\ncarrier in New York. The alliance connects the Northeast to almost 150\nworldwide destinations, including 10 new international routes from American.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These routes include new service from New York\u2019s JFK to Tel\nAviv, Israel (TLV), which launched in May; JFK service to Athens, Greece (ATH),\nwhich launched in June; and JFK service to Delhi, India (DEL), which launches\non Nov. 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its January 2022 schedule, American will also upgauge\naircraft on its New York routes to Medellin and Cali, Colombia, offering more\nseats to the popular South American destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blue Extra, meet Main Select<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>American is reimagining travel for business customers. In\n2022, American will launch Main Select in key business markets, continuing\nAmerican&#8217;s decades of premium business service by operating high-frequency\nroutes between LGA to DCA, LGA to Chicago (ORD), BOS to DCA and in additional\nmarkets such as Dallas\/Fort Worth and Los Angeles. Main Select takes the stress\nout of business travel with refundable fares, priority boarding, priority\ncheck-in, choice of all seats in Main Cabin at time of booking including Main\nCabin Extra, and free same-day flight changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this new innovative fare product for business customers\nacross the country, American will be retiring the airline\u2019s Shuttle product,\nwhich was only available on select routes in the Northeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are revamping the high-frequency travel experience to\nmeet the needs of today\u2019s business customers,\u201d Raja said. \u201cThat means creating\nan easy and seamless travel experience that has the amenities they want, the\nflexibility they need and a network that offers access to any destination they\nwant to go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Business customers can purchase a Blue Extra fare when\nflying on JetBlue high-frequency routes, including LGA to BOS, operated\nexclusively by JetBlue. Blue Extra conveniently offers same-day flight\nswitches, Even More\u00ae Speed at select airports and early boarding, making\nbusiness travel a breeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Status perks on both airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"375\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/jetBlue-at-RDU-edit-1024x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19989\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/jetBlue-at-RDU-edit-1024x375.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/jetBlue-at-RDU-edit-300x110.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this fall, American\u2019s AAdvantage status members and\nJetBlue\u2019s TrueBlue Mosaic members began receiving their benefits when traveling\neither carrier, including priority boarding, priority security and free checked\nbaggage allowances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those TrueBlue Mosaic members who want to choose an\naisle or a window seat, these preferred seats are now available for selection\nat the time of purchase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2022, customers will experience the full benefits of the Northeast Alliance (NEA) between American Airlines and JetBlue, including the most flight choices in dozens of markets from New York and Boston, lie-flat seats on all transcontinental routes and a robust international network.
