{"id":19941,"date":"2021-11-09T03:21:55","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T03:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=19941"},"modified":"2021-11-09T03:21:56","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T03:21:56","slug":"aopa-scholarships-are-now-open-through-february-11-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/aviation-education\/aopa-scholarships-are-now-open-through-february-11-2022\/%20","title":{"rendered":"AOPA SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW OPEN THROUGH FEBRUARY 11, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aopa.org\/training-and-safety\/students\/flight-training-scholarships\">opened applications<\/a> for its latest round of scholarships that are made possible through donations to the AOPA Foundation, and are a major benefit to AOPA members, helping them reach their aviation goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program offers the opportunity for more than 100 high\nschool students, teachers, primary flight training students, pilots seeking\nadvanced ratings and certificates, and aspiring aircraft mechanics to score\nmore than $1 million in scholarship funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarships are available in multiple categories. The\nprimary training scholarships include sport, recreational, or private pilot\ncertification; the advanced training scholarship includes the instrument rating\nand higher certification levels; and additional scholarships can be applied\ntoward aviation maintenance technician certification. Scholarship awards range\nfrom $2,500 to $14,000. The deadline for scholarship applications is Friday,\nFebruary 11, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. EST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain criteria must be met to qualify for a scholarship. Applicants may only submit only one application that will be considered for all scholarships for which he or she is eligible.
