This week at NBAA\u2019s Business Aviation\nConvention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, NV, 11 students will be\nreceiving the following awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>William M. Fanning Maintenance Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Named in honor of retired NBAA staff member William M.\nFanning, who was active in maintenance issues during his nearly 20-year tenure\nat the association, the Fanning Scholarship recognizes individuals who are\nstudying to enter the field of business aviation maintenance. This year\u2019s\nrecipients are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remington Prentice, a student at Lansing\nCommunity College majoring in aviation technology<\/li><li>Timothy Borden, a student at the School of\nMissionary Aviation Technology studying aviation maintenance<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fred and Diane Fitts Aviation Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards made available by Fred and Diane Fitts are presented\nto aspiring business aviation schedulers or dispatchers, maintenance\nprofessionals, pilots or flight attendants. The scholarship selection committee\nfocused on applicants that are able to express their dedication to furthering\nthe business aviation industry. This year\u2019s recipients are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Troy Ettenson, a student at Saint Louis\nUniversity \u2013 Parks College studying aeronautics with a flight science\nconcentration, planning to become a professional pilot<\/li><li>Jordan Burkett, a student at Utah State\nUniversity studying operations management with a plan to become a scheduler and\ndispatcher<\/li><li>Charles Helmer, a student at Western Michigan\nUniversity studying aviation technical operations with plans to become a maintenance\nprofessional<\/li><li>Delainy Reinard, a student at Palomar College\nwith plans to become a corporate flight attendant<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lawrence Ginocchio Aviation Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lawrence Ginocchio Aviation Scholarship was created in\n2001 by NBAA Charities, along with the family and friends of the late Lawrence\nGinocchio, to honor his outstanding personal contribution to business aviation.\nThis year\u2019s recipients, selected for demonstrating honesty, integrity and\nselflessness, are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grace Kane, a student at Saint Louis University\n\u2013 Parks College majoring in aeronautics with a flight science concentration<\/li><li>Ivy Adams, a student at Middle Tennessee State\nUniversity majoring in aerospace<\/li><li>Jamison McCarty, a student at Saint Louis\nUniversity \u2013 Parks College studying aeronautics<\/li><li>Dylan Mardoian, a student at Western Michigan\nUniversity studying aviation flight science and aviation management<\/li><li>Shelby Glissmeyer, a student at Utah Valley\nUniversity studying global aviation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more about the numerous scholarship opportunities\noffered by NBAA Charities, contact Molly Hitch, senior manager of professional\ndevelopment, at (202) 783-9353 or scholarships@nbaa.org.
