She brings\nwith her a long list of accomplishments, community service, a strong financial\nbackground, and a deep commitment to the mission of the foundation. It has been\nmy great honor to have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many of you,\nthank you all for your service to our community,\u201d said Wayne Fagan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to Bianca Rhodes, the other incoming officers of\nthe foundation are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vice Chair: Tyler Schroeder, Manager, State and\nLocal Government Operations at Boeing,<\/li><li>Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs:\nJoAnn Browning, Ph.D., P.E., Dean of The College of Engineering and Integrated\nDesign at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), <\/li><li>Vice President: Timothy W. Strawther. Lead\nExecutive, San Antonio, Texas, Lockheed Martin Corp., <\/li><li>Treasurer: JT Norris, Ph.D., CPA &#8211; Director, MS\nin Accounting Program. University of the Incarnate Word (UIW); and<\/li><li>Secretary Dan Gonzales, Vice President, Business\nDevelopment, Military, and Energy Sector, StandardAero.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2013, the Foundation has partnered with seven\narea school districts, a public charter school, and Pre-K 4 SA to date. In the\nprocess it has engaged over 4,500 students through an array of aerospace and\naviation-based programs, such as the development and integration of\naeronautical STEM curriculum and project-based learning, field trips to NASA\nand local civilian and military venues, virtual and in-person presentations by\nlocal, state and national aerospace experts and leading aeronautical STEM\neducators, and the development of an aircraft build program at Southwest High\nSchool.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July of 2021 the foundation hired its first staff member\nand Executive Director Christina Martinez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very excited to have the opportunity to learn and grow\nfrom the leadership of Bianca and the rest of the board officers. We have a slate\nof very talented professionals and that is exactly what we need to take the\norganization to the next level.\u201d said Martinez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mission of The Dee Howard Foundation (DHF) is to honor\nSan Antonio\u2019s aviation and aerospace history and to nurture our innovators of\nthe future. We seek to inspire, challenge and empower innovators in these\nfields while helping to train a skilled workforce for the San Antonio, Texas\nregion while being open to expanding our programming beyond this region in the\nfuture.
