Fletcher, who was nominated by Shelby County Mayor Lee\nHarris, has served on the MSCAA board since September 2019. His new term will\nexpire on December 31, 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gregory-Fletcher-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19641\" width=\"210\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gregory-Fletcher-edit.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Gregory-Fletcher-edit-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><figcaption><em>Gregory Fletcher<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Fletcher is a retired attorney and most recently was a\nshareholder at the Memphis firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and\nBerkowitz. He is a commercial pilot and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he\nserved as a Naval Aviator. His father, \u00c2\u00ad\u00c2\u00ad\u00c2\u00ad\u00c2\u00adWillard Fletcher, was the second\nPresident and CEO of MSCAA, serving from 1975-1985.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fletcher currently serves on the board of directors for IRIS\nOrchestra, Inc. A published author, his book Intrepid Aviators was released in\n2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of\nColorado and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith his aviation experience, business acumen and community\ninvolvement, Gregory Fletcher has been an integral part of the MSCAA board for\nthe past couple of years,\u201d said Pace Cooper, Chairman of the MSCAA Board of\nCommissioners. \u201cHis reappointment ensures continued stability and expertise for\nour board as we work together to navigate our airport\u2019s future.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Memphis City Council has approved the reappointment of Gregory Fletcher to the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) Board of Commissioners.
