MSP is Allegiant&#8217;s\n16th nonstop flight option from AVL, and now operates twice weekly on Thursdays\nand Sundays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asheville-1024x535.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19637\" width=\"237\" height=\"124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asheville-1024x535.png 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asheville-300x157.png 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Asheville.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 237px) 100vw, 237px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Allegiant has been an integral part of the airport and\ncommunity since 2011, and has grown significantly during the past decade,&#8221;\nsaid Lew Bleiweis, A.A.E., AVL Executive Director. &#8220;They continue to add\nnew routes and provide significant choice for low-cost nonstop flights for our\nregion&#8217;s travelers. Allegiant also brings many visitors to our region.\nMinneapolis\/St. Paul is a top-25 market for us, and we are excited to see this\nnew service begin.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inaugural flight was celebrated at the gate with\npassengers booked on the flight, with refreshments, prizes and a celebratory\nribbon cutting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allegiant now flies from AVL to these 16 cities: Austin, TX\n(AUS) \u2014 seasonal; Baltimore, MD (Washington D.C. area) (BWI); Boston, MA (BOS)\n\u2014 seasonal; Chicago, IL (MDW) \u2014 seasonal; Denver, Colorado (DEN) \u2014 seasonal;\nDestin, FL (VPS) \u2014 seasonal; Ft. Lauderdale, FL (FLL); Houston, TX (HOU); Las\nVegas, NV (LAS); Minneapolis, MN (MSP); Newark, NJ (New York City, NY area)\n(EWR); Orlando (Sanford), FL (SFB); West Palm Beach (PBI), Ft. Myers\/Punta\nGorda, FL (PGD); Sarasota (SRQ); St. Petersburg\/Clearwater, FL (PIE). Allegiant\nwill begin service to Key West, FL (EYW) in November, its 17th destination from\nAVL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asheville Regional Airport is served by five airlines that\noffer nonstop service to 25 destinations.
