National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and\nCEO Ed Bolen issued the following statement today on the passing of Randall (Randy)\nGreene, former chairman and chairman emeritus of the Corporate Angel Network\n(CAN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRandy loved aviation and life itself,\u201d Bolen said. \u201cIt is\nonly fitting that a significant part of his legacy was the passion and\ndedication he brought to having business aviation transport cancer patients to\ntreatment centers. For decades, Corporate Angel Network has provided help and\nhope to those in need. It represents the best of our community and our\nhumanity. This pioneering organization is a direct reflection of the vision for\ncaring that has been long held by Randy and his remarkable family. We salute\nhis countless contributions to aviation and join his family in mourning his\npassing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Greene had a storied career as CEO of Safe Flight Instrument\nCorporation, founded by his father Leonard in 1946. Under Greene\u2019s stewardship,\nthe company has pioneered a host of safety technologies, including Stall\nWarning, Angle of Attack and Automatic Throttle systems. Safe Flight\u2019s\ninnovations are incorporated into more than two thirds of the world\u2019s aircraft\ntoday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Greene\u2019s guidance has also been critical to the long and\nsuccessful partnership between NBAA and CAN. The organization is NBAA\u2019s\ndesignated charity, and together, the groups have raised hundreds of thousands\nof dollars \u2013 largely through the NBAA-BACE Corporate Angel Network\nFund-An-Angel Event \u2013 to support CAN\u2019s continued life-saving work. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
