{"id":19508,"date":"2021-09-27T16:07:10","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T16:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=19508"},"modified":"2021-09-27T16:07:12","modified_gmt":"2021-09-27T16:07:12","slug":"baldwin-safety-and-compliance-is-taking-the-mystery-out-of-performance-monitoring-with-new-spm-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/south-carolina\/baldwin-safety-and-compliance-is-taking-the-mystery-out-of-performance-monitoring-with-new-spm-tool\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Baldwin Safety and Compliance is Taking the Mystery Out of Performance Monitoring with New SPM Tool"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Baldwin Safety and Compliance announced it is adding new\ntools to the SMS portal to assist users with Safety Performance Monitoring and\nMeasurement (SPM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new features align safety performance monitoring and\nmeasurement functionality with ICAO, IS-BAO and IS-BAH requirements and\ndemystifies the safety monitoring measurement process while clarifying the\nimportance of objectives and measures against those within the organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tool permits users to specify objectives and puts the\nmeasurements beside them, allowing team members to visually see how the\norganization is performing against those objectives. Users can also input\nexternal information to support objectives like training events, safety\nmeetings, etc. that are not data fields but help achieve safety objectives.\nThese measure process-based inputs are now accepted in addition to the\ntraditional outputs that are collected from completed forms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe often hear confusion over SPIs and SPTs and how to\nmonitor them effectively,\u201d stated Director of Standards, Baldwin Safety and\nCompliance, Jason Starke. \u201cThese new features help clarify the link between the\ntwo and allows for monitoring performance indicators. It is such an important\npart of the SMS process, and I am excited to share it with our clients.
