With the Telluride Regional\nAirport located just 10 minutes from town and the slopes, and flights set to be\noperated on a jet for the first time, it will be easier than ever for Arizonans\nto reach their closest major mountain resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fleetdetails2_image2_v2-771x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19506\" width=\"270\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/fleetdetails2_image2_v2-771x1024.png 771w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/fleetdetails2_image2_v2-226x300.png 226w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/fleetdetails2_image2_v2.png 1002w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Denver Air Connection will launch daily flights on December\n16 from Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) to the Telluride Regional Airport (TEX),\noperated on a Dornier 328JET, and running through April 5, 2022. Denver Air is\nknown for its phenomenal customer service, and the Dornier 328JET offers a\ncomfortable 30-seat configuration with full in-flight services. Flight time\nfrom PHX-TEX will be just 70 minutes in the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe flights from PHX to TEX hands-down offer Phoenicians\nthe quickest and easiest way to get to major North American skiing,\u201d said\nColorado Flights CEO Matt Skinner. \u201cWe have listened to consistent requests\nfrom both Valley and Telluride residents over the last several years to put\nthese flights back into TEX and are thrilled to have found an answer with the\nfirst-ever jet service.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTelluride is a unique destination frequented by many\nArizonans,\u201d said Phoenix Director of Aviation Services, Chad Makovsky. \u201cWe\nwelcome Denver Air Connection to Sky Harbor, and we are grateful for the\nopportunity to provide our residents with convenient service to Telluride while\nallowing Colorado residents great access to the Phoenix area.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDenver Air Connection is proud to operate the world\u2019s only\nscheduled jet service in and out of the Telluride Regional Airport, and we are\ngrateful for the trust and support our partner, Colorado Flights, puts in us,\u201d\nsaid Cliff Honeycutt, President of Denver Air Connection. \u201cWhen we began\nservice from Denver to Telluride, there was already a shared vision to expand\nservice and options for travelers to Telluride. Telluride is served by two regional airports: Telluride (TEX), just 10\nminutes from town and the slopes, and Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), a scenic\n75-minute shuttle ride to the destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>America West\/US Airways successfully flew turbo-prop\naircraft from PHX-TEX from 1993-2011, when those aircraft were relocated or\nretired.
