Verdea, CAM, GLP<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Michael Webb, CAM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNBAA is pleased to recognize these seven individuals who\nexemplify the ideals outlined in Dr. Kern\u2019s Integrated Model of\nProfessionalism,\u201d said Mark Larsen, NBAA director of safety, standards, and\nflight operations. \u201cTheir history of outstanding leadership and professionalism\nhas made them real, positive game-changers for business aviation safety.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards will be presented during the NBAA National\nSafety Forum on Thursday, Oct. 14, and Dr. Kern will be a featured speaker on\nigniting positive professionalism. This year\u2019s event will focus on leadership\nand professionalism as keys to improving aviation safety. The National Safety\nForum is held in conjunction with the NBAA Business Aviation Convention &amp;\nExhibition (NBAA-BACE), which runs Oct. 12-14 in Las Vegas, NV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Created in 2015 to honor Dr. Kern, a co-founder of\nConvergent Performance, distinguished U.S. Air Force veteran and author of five\nbooks on human performance, this peer-nominated award recognizes individual\npilots, maintenance technicians, flight attendants, dispatchers and other\naviation professionals who excel in leadership in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Professional ethics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Vocational excellence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Continuous improvement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Professional engagement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Professional image<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Selflessness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nominations are vetted by a panel of NBAA Safety\nCommittee Professionalism Working Group members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NBAA will begin accepting nominations for the 2022 awards in January.
