{"id":19398,"date":"2021-09-13T23:48:19","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T23:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=19398"},"modified":"2021-09-13T23:48:22","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T23:48:22","slug":"faa-administrator-dickson-to-give-day-one-keynote-address-at-nbaa-bace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/faa-administrator-dickson-to-give-day-one-keynote-address-at-nbaa-bace\/%20","title":{"rendered":"FAA Administrator Dickson to Give Day One Keynote Address at NBAA-BACE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Steve-Dickson.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15776\"\/><figcaption><em>Steve Dickson<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has\nannounced that Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Steve\nDickson will be a Day One Keynote speaker at the 2021 NBAA Business Aviation\nConvention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), which takes place Oct. 12-14 in Las\nVegas, NV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNBAA is pleased to welcome once again Administrator Dickson\nto NBAA-BACE,\u201d said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. \u201cHis insights into issues\nthat impact business aviation, such as safety, sustainability, diversity and\ninnovation, are always of the utmost interest to our attendees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dickson previously attended the 2019 convention, presenting\nat the NBAA-BACE Careers in Business Aviation Day, where he spoke with high\nschool students about the many promising careers in aviation. He then spoke at\nthe NBAA-BACE National Safety Forum, where he provided his perspectives on\nbusiness aviation safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last August, Dickson took part in NBAA\u2019s Virtual Business\nAviation Town Hall, where he and Bolen discussed operational and safety issues\nimportant to the business aviation community, such as the Pilots Record\nDatabase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As head of the FAA, Dickson oversees the agency\u2019s $16.4\nbillion-dollar budget and more than 47,000 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A longtime Delta Air Lines captain, Dickson most recently\nserved as the carrier\u2019s senior vice president of global flight operations\nacross six continents, involving training, technical support, staffing,\nscheduling, quality assurance and regulatory compliance for more than 13,000 pilots.\nHe is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, as well as a graduate of the\nGeorgia State University College of Law, magna cum laude.
