Attorneys Ronnie Gipson of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kathy\nYodice of Potomac, Maryland, who are both pilots and have extensive experience\nin aviation law, have been named Chair and Vice-chair, respectively, of the\nExperimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Legal Advisory Council, a group of\nEAA-member attorneys who assist the organization and its members in a variety of\naviation legal matters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRonnie and Kathy each have the knowledge and skills that\nwill allow EAA to continue serving our members in the ever more complex worlds\nof aviation law and legal matters that face those of us who fly,\u201d said Sean\nElliott, EAA\u2019s vice president of advocacy and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gipson succeeds to the position after 10 years as a member\non the Legal Advisory Council.  He is\ncurrently an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Memphis, where he\nadvocates for general aviation issues through his scholarly work, which has\nbeen published worldwide in legal journals, and cited by Congress. As a lawyer,\nhe represented aviation clients in FAA enforcement actions, accident\/incident\nlitigation, as well as purchase and sale transactions. Now, Gipson routinely\ngives webinars and presentations on issues critical to general aviation such as\nairport preservation; drone integration into the National Airspace System; and\nimmunity for Designated Pilot Examiners. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yodice is a well-known aviation attorney who has been\nrepresenting aviation interests for more than 35 years, beginning in the FAA\u2019s\nOffice of Chief Counsel and now in private practice. Her experience also\nincludes consulting, expert legal testimony, and lecturing on aviation legal\nissues. Yodice is a past president and current board member of the Lawyer-Pilot\nBar Association and is a part-time lecturer at Kent State University\u2019s College\nof Aeronautics and Engineering.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
