He has been part of the Iowa DOT since 2003 and\nbrings over 25 years of aviation and transportation professional experience\nthat includes airport management, fixed-base operator, airport commissioner,\ncommercial pilot with seaplane rating, flight instructor, skydiver, and\nUnmanned Aircraft Systems pilot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his time at the Iowa DOT, McClung has worked with\naviation policy, planning, and legislative activities, air service development,\nintegration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Iowa, and has collaborated with a\nwide range of aviation stakeholders on issues related to aviation in Iowa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tammy Nicholson, director of the Iowa DOT\u2019s Modal\nTransportation Bureau says \u201cTim has extensive experience and a passion for the\naviation industry. As Aviation Director, he will work hard to advocate for\naviation interests and provide leadership that will benefit aviation\nstakeholders, citizens, aviation staff and the DOT organization.
