In his new role, Scott will continue those efforts while developing\nand implementing strategies to anticipate and exceed customer needs and\nexpectations as we position MSP for post-pandemic success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 20-year employee of the Metropolitan Airports Commission,\nSkramstad began his career working in the MAC\u2019s noise mitigation program before\nbecoming manager of Terminal 2 operations in 2009. Most recently, he served as\nassistant director over MSP facilities, overseeing terminal cleaning and\nmaintenance, the airport\u2019s energy management center, and work by skilled\ntradespeople \u2013 carpenters, electricians, painters and plumbers. Those efforts\nhelped MSP achieve the status of Best Airport in North America four consecutive\nyears through a customer survey program administered by Airports Council\nInternational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skramstad led key aspects of the MAC\u2019s response to the\nCOVID-19 pandemic, overseeing teams that implemented a robust cleaning program,\ndevelopment and installation of plexiglass barriers and hand sanitizing\nstations, and efforts to encourage social distancing, mask wearing and hand\nwashing. He worked with industry leaders to establish an airport accreditation\nprogram through the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) and achieved\naccreditation for MSP in the GBAC\u2019s Star Facility program and through Airports\nCouncil International\u2019s Airport Health Accreditation Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Skramstad focused on robust compliance with\nFederal Aviation Administration regulations and served on the MAC Executive\nSustainability Council, helping advance projects, strategies and ideas in\nsupport of the organization\u2019s 2030 sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am tremendously honored to serve the Metropolitan\nAirports Commission and the traveling public in this new role,\u201d Skramstad said.\n\u201cAchieving our vision of providing people\u2019s best airport experience requires a\ncontinuous evolution in the way we operate and maintain our terminals and\nparking facilities. I look forward to building on our abilities to measure and\nimprove performance, collaborate with airport partners and respond rapidly to\noperational issues and customer needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skramstad holds a master\u2019s degree in business administration\nfrom Concordia University and a bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration\nfrom the University of North Dakota. He is a certified member of the American\nAssociation of Airport Executives and past chair of MSP\u2019s Customer Service\nAction Council Forum Committee.
