The\nshow brings a feeling of movement and vibrant color to the airport and provides\na passage with a unique view. The exhibit highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A love for North Carolina through mixed media on\npaper by Sophia Allison.<\/li><li>Well-known local landscapes through acrylic on\ncanvas by Carrie Jenson.<\/li><li>A change in perspective through oil on linen by\nJoan Lesikin. <\/li><li>Communicative vessels through earthenware\nsculptures by Robert Milnes.<\/li><li>Vibrant abstract motion through acrylics on\npaper by Eleanor Palmer.<\/li><li>A glimpse of Asheville through oil on canvas by\nMaureen Scullin.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, passengers in the airport will also hear\nstylings from local pianists Mike Andersen and Phil Okrend, as well as\nBlues\/Americana vibes from Mr. Jimmy accompanied by Charles Wilkinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Ashville-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19133\" width=\"320\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Ashville-edit.jpg 900w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NC-Ashville-edit-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have missed the art gallery being available for\npassengers to enjoy the work of local artists, and the sounds of local musicians\nplaying welcoming tunes,&#8221; said Alexandra Ingle, Brand and Experience\nDesigner at AVL and curator of the gallery. &#8220;Welcoming back these local\nmakers allows travelers to experience a taste of our vibrant region.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artwork can be purchased from the gallery by emailing\nart@flyavl.com. Artists who reside in any of the eleven counties within AVL&#8217;s\nprimary service market may apply for acceptance into upcoming exhibits.
