{"id":18833,"date":"2021-07-12T18:52:43","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T18:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=18833"},"modified":"2021-07-12T18:52:45","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T18:52:45","slug":"drone-delivery-canada-announces-multiple-agreements-for-project-at-edmonton-intl-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/drone-delivery-canada-announces-multiple-agreements-for-project-at-edmonton-intl-airport\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Drone Delivery Canada Announces Multiple Agreements for Project at Edmonton Int\u2019l Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Drone Delivery Canada Corp. has announced that, with the\nassistance of its sales agent Air Canada, has entered into three commercial\nagreements on July 8th, with Edmonton International Airport (\u201cEIA\u201d), Apple\nExpress Courier Ltd. and Ziing Final Mile Inc., to deploy DDC\u2019s patented drone\ndelivery solution at Edmonton International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pursuant to the terms of the Agreements, DDC will enable\ndefined-route delivery from EIA to deliveries off airport property utilizing\nthe Sparrow drone and its DroneSpot\u00ae takeoff and landing zones as well as\nadditional drone flight infrastructure as required.&nbsp; The Customers will use DDC\u2019s Sparrow delivery\ndrone solution to transport a wide variety of cargo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All operations will be conducted in accordance with\nappropriate Canadian regulations. Flights will be remotely monitored by DDC\nfrom its Operations Control Centre located in Vaughan, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DDC will commence deployment of site infrastructure shortly\nand expects to begin providing drone delivery services under the commercial\nAgreements in Q3 of 2021. The Agreements provide for the payment from Customers\nof up-front fees and monthly fees for professional managed services for the\nproject term of 12 months. This deployment will be the first use of an\nautomatic delivery drone solution to provide B2B cargo delivery at Edmonton International\nAirport.&nbsp; It will be the Company\u2019s first\ncommercial contracts in Alberta and with courier companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased that our partners have chosen Drone Delivery\nCanada as part of their mission to invest in new technology to advance the supply\nchain industry.
