In September 2020, a benchmark pilot project between Flytrex\nand Walmart was announced to bring backyard drone delivery to Fayetteville. The\npilot is aimed at exploring how drones can deliver items from the Walmart store\nto customers in a way that\u2019s convenient, fast and safe \u2013 from picking and\npacking to takeoff and arrival. The expansion will enable a larger number of\nhomes to enjoy the on-demand drone delivery service in Fayetteville, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flytrex participated in the Federal Aviation\nAdministration\u2019s UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP) from 2018 to 2020, and\nchose to continue with the FAA\u2019s subsequent initiative, BEYOND, to work with\nthe North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) as well as the Kansas\nDepartment of Transportation (KDOT) and the North Dakota Department of\nTransportation (NDDOT) to help tackle the remaining challenges of UAS\nintegration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
