The newly granted waiver permits Flytrex to\noperate its drone system above people, allowing for the largest-scale backyard\ndrone deliveries of goods known to date. Deliveries will be made in cooperation\nwith long-time partner Causey Aviation Unmanned as part of the waiver, offering\nfood, drinks and other goods to thousands of eligible households in the area\nwho can opt-in to the service. Flytrex will conduct all flights within line of\nsight, maintaining the highest safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrexedit-1024x685.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18512\" width=\"359\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrexedit-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrexedit-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrexedit.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 359px) 100vw, 359px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Households will be able to purchase a wide variety of goods\nfrom the neighborhood Walmart store as well as local restaurants and cafes.\nOrders are placed using the Flytrex app, which updates customers regarding\ntheir order status along the route until the package is lowered by wire safely\ninto their backyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe FAA approval is important to expanding on-demand drone\ndelivery throughout the US in compliance with the highest possible safety\nstandards,\u201d said Yariv Bash, Co-Founder and CEO of Flytrex. \u201cThrough this\nexpansion, we will be able to glean valuable insight into usage and customer\npreferences, allowing us to further tailor our offering to meet consumer needs.\nWith the ongoing help of the FAA, drone delivery will soon become the rule\nrather than the exception.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2020, a benchmark pilot project between Flytrex\nand Walmart was announced to bring backyard drone delivery to Fayetteville. The\npilot is aimed at exploring how drones can deliver items from the Walmart store\nto customers in a way that\u2019s convenient, fast and safe \u2013 from picking and\npacking to takeoff and arrival.
