{"id":18467,"date":"2021-05-18T12:28:09","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T12:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=18467"},"modified":"2021-05-18T12:28:11","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T12:28:11","slug":"research-points-to-consolidation-of-evtol-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/research-points-to-consolidation-of-evtol-market\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Research Points to Consolidation of eVTOL Market"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>New research reveals some 36% of eVTOL professionals predict\na dramatic increase in the level of consolidation in the eVTOL market over the\nnext two years, and 51% think there will be a slight increase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are currently around 245 companies who have developed\neVTOL concepts, but in five years\u2019 time 60% of professionals working in the\nsector believe this number will be smaller. One in three (33%) predict there\nwill be between 100 and 200 companies, and one in five (20%) think there will\nbe fewer than 100.&nbsp; Some 7% believe there\nwill be between 200 and 244 companies, but just 39% think there will be more\nthan this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research was commissioned by Horizon Aircraft, the\nadvanced aerospace engineering company that has developed the Cavorite X5, the\nworld\u2019s first eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) that can fly the\nmajority of its mission exactly like a normal aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are currently around 407 eVTOL concepts globally, but\n54% believe this number will be lower by 2026, with 36% predicting there will\nbe fewer than 300.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brandon Robinson, CEO and Co-Founder of Horizon Aircraft\nsaid: \u201cThe eVTOL market is attracting huge amounts of investment, but this will\nincreasingly focus on those concepts and companies that have prototypes that\nare commercially viable.&nbsp; With new funds,\nthese companies will progress dramatically leaving the others to struggle, and\nin many cases close down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 18th February 2021, Astro Aerospace (OTCQB: ASDN), a\nglobal leader in eVTOL aerial vehicles and drones, entered a binding agreement\nto acquire Horizon Aircraft Inc. The transaction is expected to close on or\nbefore the beginning of 2nd Quarter pending customary closing conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astro, a pioneer in the eVTOL market, has developed one of\nthe market\u2019s safest and most efficient eVTOLs in the world.
