In this role, he will lead the aviation division of more than 300\nemployees at Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field in Fort\nMyers, Fla. Hennigan will be responsible for the fiscal, administrative and\noperational oversight of the Aircraft Rescue &amp; Fire Fighting Department,\nAirport Police Department, aviation security &amp; technology, contract\nmanagement, maintenance, operations &amp; safety, as well as Base Operations at\nPage Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hennigan brings more than 20 years of aviation and\nleadership experience to LCPA. Most recently, he was the chief of operations\nfor the Houston Airport System (HAS), where he managed operations at George\nBush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), along\nwith oversight of operational processes and procedures for both airports.\nBefore that, Hennigan served as the assistant general manager of operations at\nIAH for six years, where he worked on the planning and development of a $1.2\nbillion terminal redevelopment project. Prior to HAS, Hennigan spent seven\nyears at Denver International Airport (DEN) working as the aviation operations\nmanager and other roles in airfield operations and the airport communications\ncenter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hennigan is a certified member of the American Association\nof Airport Executives (AAAE) and is an AAAE Airport Certified Employee in the\nareas of security and operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in aviation\nbusiness administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott,\nAriz. and has a commercial pilot rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lee County Port Authority operates Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field in Fort Myers.
