Also beginning June 27, Southwest will\noffer daily nonstop service to Kahului, Maui. Then, in September, Southwest\nwill launch two additional routes to Hawaii. Phoenix to Lihue, Kauai will\noperate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays while Phoenix\nto Kona will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and\nSundays. All routes will be offered year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPeople move to Phoenix to enjoy our quality of life. Air\nservice is an important part of that equation \u2013 our residents like to know they\ncan travel efficiently to popular destinations, whether it is for business or\nvacation,\u201d said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. \u201cAs COVID restrictions ease, and\ntravelers decide to get away, it is exciting to know these new Phoenix to\nHawaii flights on Southwest will give them more convenient options.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These flights add to Phoenix\u2019s Hawaii offerings. Currently,\nAmerican offers nonstop service to Honolulu, Kahului, Lihue, and Kona. Hawaiian\noffers nonstop service to both Honolulu and Kahului.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSouthwest Airlines is an important partner for the city and\nSky Harbor,\u201d said Phoenix Vice Mayor Carlos Garcia. \u201cI am thrilled that they\nare committed to Phoenix and have launched new service to Hawaii. These flights\nwill not only provide more choices for travelers but will help boost our\neconomy.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest\u2019s flights are the latest in a series of new\ndestinations Southwest has added over the past year, including launching its\nfirst international service from Phoenix to Mexico in October 2020.
